Project title: Edtech Product Rating
About the project: To address the problem of information asymmetry and to aid stakeholders perceive a good quality edtech product in the Indian EdTech ecosystem, a need for quality standards is essential. The EdTech Tulna project has been initiated to create standards for EdTech quality in the Indian context and evaluate products against these standards. So far, Tulna has evaluated several products and has been used to procure quality products in various state governments. The main goal is to design and create indices in different domains and help stakeholders in the implementation of good Edtech products.
Essential Qualifications & Experience:
PhD
OR
MTech/ME/MDes or equivalent degree with minimum 4 years relevant experience
OR
BTech/BE/MA/MSc/MCA/MBA or equivalent degree with 6 years relevant experience Must have research experience in designing and validating educational instruments.
Must have experience working with government bodies or NGOs/non-profit organizations in the education sector in India. Excellent communication skills (oral and written), for both academic and non-academic audience. Track record of working in a distributed team relevant to Educational Technology. Working proficiency in Hindi and other Indian languages is highly desirable.
Enthusiasm to contribute to interdisciplinary research in the broad area of Educational Technology.
Job Profile:
The candidate will be responsible for tasks in the following workstreams:
1) Research, Design and User Studies
a. Lead the design of the evaluation frameworks in new usecases
b. Plan, conduct and analyze user studies with students and teachers
c. Conduct research and write research papers
2) Evaluations
a. Conduct internal training of Tulna indexes
b. Plan and execute various aspects of the evaluation cycle including product demos, interrater
reliability, independent evaluations, detailed product evaluation report writing.
c. Integrate the writing and revision of evaluation reports across the team
3) State govt adoptions
a. Lead the creation of training resources
b. Plan and lead the delivery of training
c. Analyze and document of insights from the field
4) International adoptions
a. Lead the collaboration efforts with international organizations
5) Leadership and vision
a. Manage various sub-teams
b. Coordinate with the partner organization
c. Participate in the Tulna sustainability efforts
Pay Details:
Level PR-O2: Salary range from Rs.42000 to Rs 84000 + Rs.7500.00/- Out Of Campus Allowance (if applicable) p.m.
General information:
The position is temporary for a period of 1 year and tenable only for the duration of the project.
The appointment is for time bound project and the candidate is required to work mainly for the successful completion of the project. The selection committee may offer lower or higher designation and lower or higher salary depending upon the experience and performance of the candidate in the interview.
